Went with Dell and Rah to watch Death and the Maiden at the DBS Arts Centre on Sunday afternoon. It was highly intriguing and extremely disturbing. The claustrophobic set and the use of just three characters accentuated the tension between all of them. Although the women's rights theme was hard to ignore, I felt there was also the question of truth, and the illusion of it when one is brought to wits' end. The sound, light and placement of characters all came in sync to show power struggle, fear, mistrust, resignation and hope; no matter how little. Brilliant. Can't wait for the Glass Menagerie by Tenesse Williams. =)
