A quaint street withstands the test of time , Not a dollar, a cent or a dime Could tarnish this magnificent image, It is free from Modernization's bondage.
Once many homes, with little shops to make ends meet ; Seeing middle class citizens bustling through the street .
Unique old exteriors polished and maintained, Untainted facades, that even braved the rain.
A lovely quiet street it is now - As if awaiting its final bow.
Now please don't ruin this eclectic architecture, An oasis, a paradise, my overture.
Whilst tenants may have left And offices take over It is still that lovely street - Where soul and body meets
