CENTERSTAGE is my single most favoured movie. I've never seen such fabulous dancing on screen, EVER. The gorgeous feet on pointe, grand jetes and turns are just about enough to bring me to an ecstatic high. Everyone harbours unrealistic dreams, they are, afterall dreams. And this is just mine - to do a perfect grand jete and totter on pointe in those lovely satin shoes. I would kill to dance like that. Fly in the air and gallop on stage.
More than that, life is akin to pointe work. You're balancing on your toes, you're on the verge of falling, but not just yet. Your head is held high, and you know no one is going to catch you when you fall. Point being, life's about risks. We're living on the edge. And it is only ourselves that we can count on. No one else.
This world needs a thorough reality check. Whoever said blogs were private space. It is part of the internet where anything comes our way with just one click. The very information we count on for tabloid gossip or to finish up that gruelling thesis paper. Information better left unknown will also be found; so privacy is better left in the hands of your trustee diary and pen. With actions come consequences, and it will come in due time, good or bad, as long as it has a place in this world wide web. Privacy and the world wide web are just like Jesus and Satan. They will never go hand in hand. (Disclaimer: I'm not trying to be self-righteous or miss prissy here. It's just simple logic and truth that alot of us rather pretend not to know)
It's ridiculous how old high school rivalries and insecurities that have been left untouched for years still plague us; and stings. Let go, let live, move on already. Surely we've out grown all of that; or so I would like to think.
